In this guide, I will explain how to use Research / Upgrade / Factory Download Tool to flash Unisoc/Spreadtrum Phone.
Research / Upgrade / Factory Download Tool is a tool used for flashing Unisoc/Spreadtrum (SPD) stock ROM or single file.
Warning! Follow the procedures at your own risk. Also, make sure to flash a firmware for your phone model else you will end up with a bricked/dead phone.
Pre-requisites:
- Download Research Download/Factory Download/Upgrade Download Tool
- Install Spreadtrum (SPD) Drivers Win 7 | Win 8/10
- Stock ROM / Firmware
- Spreadtrum (SPD) Android phone / Basic phone
- Original USB cable
Procedures to flash Unisoc / Spreadtrum (SPD) phone with flash tool
Follow the below procedures to flash spreadtrum (SPD) phone with Unisoc/SPD Flash tool
- Open Research Download/Factory download tool
- Click the Load Packet or Browse button to select the firmware
- If you see a dialog box then browse the location where you saved the firmware, select the firmware and click open.
- Click the Start Downloading Button
- In this stage, switch off the phone and connect to pc with usb cable.
- Flash process will begin downloading, sit back, and wait. Avoid interrupting flash tool.
- Once downloading is successful Click the Stop Downloading button and unplug the phone, long-press the power key to power on or disconnect/reconnect the phone's battery to power on the phone.
