In this post, I will explain the steps to bypass/remove the privacy protection password on a Mediatek MTK Android phone with Miracle Box.

Privacy Protection lock is an anti-theft feature on Android phones to prevent unauthorized users from getting access after replacing a sim card. The Anti-Theft or Privacy Protection can be turned on or off in phone settings but there have been complaints that even if you didn't turn it on on some phones it will still require the privacy protection pin after replacing the sim card that was on the phone.



This post is to help those that have set the privacy protection password and have forgotten it or to those that haven't set the privacy protection password and have gotten the error after changing or replacing their sim card to bypass/remove the privacy protection password on a Mediatek MTK Android phone with Miracle Box


Important:

  • Make sure you have the phone's stock ROM or backup of your firmware
  • If the phone stuck on the boot logo after clearing anti-theft, boot to recovery mode and factory reset.

  1. Open Miracle Box
  1. Click the MTK tab, Unlock/fix, Clear Anti Theft, and Click the Start Button
  1. Click No
  1. Switch off your phone and connect the to PC with a USB cable.
  1. Once the phone is detected privacy protection or anti-theft will be cleared.
